My grandfather lived on a farm, so I’ve always been close with nature; catching minnows and collecting eggs are two fond childhood memories. My love of vintage cars comes from my father, my love of dollhouse miniatures comes from my mother, but my love for California was very personal.

I moved around a lot in my life, but from my first visit to Venice Beach at the age of thirteen, I knew Los Angeles would be my home. I earned my BA in photography from Southern  Illinois University in 1998 and I've had my own professional photography business in Hollywood ever since. One thing about California that resonates with me is how it provides the space to creatively invent yourself. It's a challenge and a privilege to live in a state where you can visit the beach, hike the snowy mountains, tour the Mojave desert, and traverse the Sequoia forest, all in a weekend if you choose.

Surviving disasters is a recreation. I've been viciously attacked by a swarm of bees in Missouri, witnessed tornadoes in Oklahoma and Illinois, experienced a flood in Iowa, encountered a hurricane in Florida, and evacuated from wildfires in California. Plus, lived through one pandemic.

Other life pursuits have included piano, competitive swimming, Texas hold’em, paintball, urban exploring, and billiards. I've dabbled in karate, welding, unicycling, and horseback riding. Major fan of Stephen King. I have a pretty rad comic book collection and a fully exciting coin collection. My most upheld principle - A time travel movie or show needs to follow the obvious rules of time travel. (What is up with the last 5 minutes of the Umbrella Academy series? Can’t happen.)
